A spectacular 18th century Georgian Staffordshire jug with stunning hand painted polychrome decoration and avian scenes surrounded by flowers.
One panel depicts an avian confrontation, whilst another, a family of birds about to feast on some berries. The third panel at the front shows a rural landscape with cottages and a church. There are further bird transfers around the rim of the jug.
One tight non-penetrating hairline crack coming down from the rim inside the jug. Tested watertight.
Measures approx. 14.5cm high
